Hadith 1172
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ الْيَافُونِيُّ ، بِمَدِينَةِ يَافَا ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "خَيْرُكُمُ الْمُدَافِعُ عَنْ عَشِيرَتِهِ مَا لَمْ يَأْثَمْ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ ، إِلا أَيُّوبُ
Sayyiduna Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju'sham (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best among you is the one who defends his tribe, as long as he does not commit a sin."
