People will be in the Hereafter as they were in this world
Hadith 1157
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الآخِرَةِ ، وَأَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الآخِرَةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، إِلا مُؤَمَّلٌ
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who are good in this world will be good in the Hereafter as well, and those who are evil in this world will be evil in the Hereafter as well."
