Allah's grace and mercy upon the sick and the traveler
Hadith 1145
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَوَارِي ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ ، وَالْعَوَّامِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ السَّكْسَكِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "إِذَا مَرِضَ الْعَبْدُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ سَافَرَ كُتِبَ لَهُ مثل عَمَلِهِ مُقِيمًا صَحِيحًا "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، إِلا حَفْصٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ أَبِي الْحَوَارِي
Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a Muslim man falls ill or sets out on a journey, his good deeds are recorded for him just as he used to do them when he was healthy and residing."
