Description of a martyr who was disobedient to his parents
Hadith 1111
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَسْلَمَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ الرُّعَيْنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ "عَنْ أَصْحَابِ الأَعْرَافِ ، فَقَالَ : هُمْ رِجَالٌ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ عُصَاةٌ لآبَائِهِمْ فَمَنَعَتْهُمُ الشَّهَادَةُ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا النَّارَ ، وَمَنَعَتْهُمُ الْمَعْصِيَةُ أَنْ يَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ ، وَهُمْ عَلَى سُورٍ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ حَتَّى تَزُولَ لُحُومُهُمْ وَشُحُومُهُمْ حَتَّى يَخْلُوَ اللَّهُ مِنْ حِسَابِ الْخَلائِقِ ، فَإِذَا فَرَغَ اللَّهُ مِنْ حِسَابِ خَلْقِهِ ، فَلَمْ يَبْقَ غَيْرُهُمْ تَغَمَّدَهُمْ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ ، فَأَدْخَلَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ بِرَحْمَتِهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، إِلا ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَلا يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The companions asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the people of A'raf. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They will be people who were martyred in the way of Allah, but they were disobedient to their fathers. So, martyrdom prevented them from entering Hell, and disobedience to parents prevented them from entering Paradise. Thus, they will be on a wall between Paradise and Hell. When their flesh and fat melt away and Allah has finished judging the rest of creation, and when no one remains without reckoning, Allah will cover them with His mercy and admit them into Paradise by His mercy."
