Hadith 1100
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الأَصْفَرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ الأَكْبَرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أنزل ؟ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي ، فَافْتَتَحْتُ ، فَقَرَأْتُ سُورَةَ النِّسَاءِ حَتَّى بَلَغْتُ : فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ شَهِيدًا سورة النساء آية 41 ، فَاغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، فَأَمْسَكْتُ ، فَقَالَ : سَلْ تُعْطَهْ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، إِلا أَبَانُ بْنُ تَغْلِبَ ، وَلا عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ ، إِلا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ ، وَلا عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، إِلا بِشْرٌ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ الأَصْفَرِ الأَصْغَرِ ، وَبِشْرٌ ، الَّذِي رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، هُوَ بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ الأَكْبَرُ ، مَاتَ قَبْلَ الْعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ الأَصْفَرُ ، الأَصْغَرُ ، هُوَ ابْنُ بِنْتِ أَزْهَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّمَّانُ ، وَهُمَا بَصْرِيَّانِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Recite the Noble Qur'an to me." So I said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I recite it to you while it has been revealed to you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I wish to hear it from someone else." Then I began to recite Surah An-Nisa until I reached this verse: "How then will it be when We bring from every nation a witness and We bring you as a witness against these people?" Then the eyes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were filled with tears and I stopped. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask Allah for whatever you wish, it will be granted to you."
