Virtue of the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah
Hadith 1099
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّبَاحُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَيْحَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَارِثِيِّ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ كِتَابًا ، فَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ، وَإِنَّهُ أنزل مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابِ آيَتَيْنِ خَتَمَ بِهِمَا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ ، وَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لا يَلِجُ بَيْتًا تُلِيَتَا ، قُرِئَتَا ، فِيهِ ثَلاثَ لَيَالٍ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، إِلا عَبَّادٌ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ رَيْحَانُ
Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty wrote a book and it is with Him above the Throne, and from it He revealed two verses with which He concluded Surah Al-Baqarah, and Satan does not enter the house in which these verses are recited for three nights.”
