Intercession of the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 1092
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُقَاتِلٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، بِبَغْدَادَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُهَيْرٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى الْجُهَنِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ الزَّرَّادُ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةِ النَّارَ مَنْ لا يُحْصِي عَدَدَهُمْ إِلا اللَّهُ بِمَا عَصُوا اللَّهَ ، وَاجْتَرَأُوا عَلَى مَعْصِيَتِهِ ، وَخَالَفُوا طَاعَتَهُ ، فَيُؤْذَنُ لِي فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ ، فَأُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ سَاجِدًا كَمَا أُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ قَائِمًا "، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Countless people from among the people of the Qiblah will enter Hell, whom only Allah knows, because they disobeyed Allah, dared to commit sins, and opposed obedience to Him. Then I will be granted permission to praise Allah in the state of prostration, just as I praise Him while standing." (And the narrator mentioned a lengthy hadith which is as follows): "It will be said to me: 'Raise your head, whatever you ask will be granted, and intercede—your intercession will be accepted.'"
