Causes of the destruction of the Ummah
Hadith 1087
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزْدَادَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ الْخَطِيبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ النَّصِيبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ النَّصِيبِيُّ ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ حَكَمٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "فَنَاءُ أُمَّتِي فِي الطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ ، قُلْنَا : قَدْ عَرَفْنَا الطَّعْنَ فَمَا الطَّاعُونُ ؟ ، قَالَ : وَخْزُ أَعْدَائِكُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ ، وَفِي كُلٍّ شَهَادَةٌ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي حُرَّةَ ، إِلا بِشْرٌ ، وَلا عَنْ بِشْرٍ ، إِلا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The destruction of my Ummah will be through arrows and plague." We said: O Messenger of Allah! We know what arrows are, but what is plague? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the attack of your enemy jinn, and in each there is martyrdom."
