Hadith 1052
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَاضِي الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، ارْضَ بِمَا قَسَمَ اللَّهُ تَكُنْ غَنِيًّا ، وَكُنْ وَرِعًا تَكُنْ عَبْدًا لِلَّهِ ، وَأَحِبَّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ تَكُنْ مُؤْمِنًا ، وَأَحْسِنْ مُجَاوِرَةَ مَنْ جَاوَرَكَ تَكُنْ مُسْلِمًا ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَكَثْرَةَ الضَّحِكِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يُمِيتُ الْقَلْبَ ، وَالْقَهْقَهَةُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، وَالتَّبَسُّمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، إِلا يُوسُفُ بْنُ هَارُونَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O Abu Hurairah! Be content with what Allah has decreed for you, and you will become the richest of all people. And become pious, and you will be a devoted servant of Allah. And love for others what you love for yourself, and you will become a believer. And behave well with your neighbor, and you will become a Muslim. Avoid excessive laughter, for too much laughter kills the heart, and loud laughter is from Satan, while smiling is from Allah.”
