Description of the reckoning of three types of people on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 1037
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْخَضِرِ الرَّقِّيُّ ، بِالرَّقَّةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْجَرْجَرَائِيُّ حُبِّيَ الْعَابِدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعَتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : "ثَلاثَةٌ أَنَا خَصْمُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَمَنْ كُنْتُ خَصْمَهُ خَصَمْتُهُ : رَجُلٌ أَعْطَانِي ثُمَّ غَدَرَ يَعْنِي عَهْدَ اللَّهِ ، وَرَجُلٌ بَاعَ حُرًّا فَأَكَلَ ثَمَنَهُ ، وَرَجُلٌ اسْتَأْجَرَ أَجِيرًا فَاسْتَوْفَى حَقَّهُ وَلَمْ يُوَفِّهِ أَجْرَهُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، إِلا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There are three people with whom I will dispute on the Day of Resurrection: one who made a promise to Me in Allah's name and then acted treacherously, one who sold a free man and consumed his price, and one who hired a laborer, took full work from him, but did not pay him his full wages."
