Description of the evil people of the end times
Hadith 1036
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْمَكِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، عَنْ خَصِيفٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابِنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "سَيَجِيءُ أَقْوَامٌ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَنِ وُجُوهُهُمْ وُجُوهُ الآدَمَيِّينَ ، وَقُلُوبُهُمْ قُلُوبُ الشَّيَاطِينِ ، أَمْثَالُ الذِّئَابِ الضَّوَارِي ، لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ ، سَفَّاكُونَ الدِّمَاءَ ، لا يَرْعَوُونَ عَنْ قَبِيحٍ ، إِنْ بَايَعْتَهُمْ وَارَبُوكَ ، وَإِنْ تَوَارَيْتَ عَنْهُمُ اغْتَابُوكَ ، وَإِنْ حَدَّثُوكَ كَذَّبُوكَ ، وَإِنِ ائْتَمَنْتَهُمْ خَانُوكَ ، صَبِيُّهُمْ عَارِمٌ ، وَشَابُّهُمْ شَاطِرٌ ، وَشَيْخُهُمْ لا يَأْمُرُ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَلا يَنْهَى عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ ، الاعْتِزَازُ بِهِمْ ذُلٌّ ، وَطَلَبُ مَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ فَقْرٌ ، الْحَلِيمُ فِيهِمْ غَاوٍ ، وَالآمِرُ فِيهِمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مُتَّهَمٌ ، وَالْمُؤْمِنُ فِيهِمْ مُسْتَضْعَفٌ ، وَالْفَاسِقُ فِيهِمْ مُشَرَّفٌ ، السُّنَّةُ فِيهِمْ بِدْعَةٌ ، وَالْبِدْعَةُ فِيهِمْ سُنَّةٌ ، فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ يُسَلِّطُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ شِرَارَهُمْ ، فَيَدْعُو خِيَارُهُمْ فَلا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُمْ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ خَصِيفٍ ، إِلا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَلا يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon, in the last era, some people will come whose faces will be like those of humans, but their hearts will be like those of devils. They will be like predatory wolves; there will be no gentleness or mercy in their hearts. They will be blood-shedders; they will not fear or refrain from any evil thing. If you pledge allegiance to them, they will deceive you; if you keep yourself hidden from them, they will backbite about you; if they speak to you, they will lie to you; if you consider them trustworthy, they will betray you. Their child will be wicked and mischievous, their youth cunning and mischievous, and their elder will neither enjoin good nor forbid evil. Gaining honor from them is humiliation, and taking what is in their hands is poverty. The courageous person among them will be misguided, and calling towards goodness will be considered an accusation. Among them, the believer will be regarded as weak, and the sinful and immoral will be considered honorable. The way of the Sunnah among them will be considered innovation, and innovation will be considered Sunnah. When these matters appear, then at that time Allah Almighty will impose evil people over them, then their righteous people will supplicate to Allah, but their supplication will not be accepted."
