Hadith 1020
حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، بِمِصْرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ وَاضِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِي الآخِرَةِ ، وَأَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَهْلُ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الآخِرَةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، إِلا عَلِيٌّ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْمُسَيَّبُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who are good and righteous in this world will be good and righteous in the Hereafter, and those who are evil in this world will be evil in the Hereafter as well."
