Hadith 1015
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ بِشْرٍ الأَسَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ بِشْرٍ الأَسَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ لِي جَبْرَائِيلُ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، أَحِبَّ مَنْ شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مُفَارِقُهُ ، وَعِشْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ "
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril (peace be upon him) said to me: 'Love whomever you wish, you will surely be separated from him, and live as long as you wish, in the end you will die one day.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril delivered his sermon to me in very brief words."
