Hadith 1009
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِي هَكَذَا ، وَأَشَارَ بِبَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ ، رَفَعْتُهُ هَكَذَا ، وَأَشَارَ بِبَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ "، لا يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَاصِمٌ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a marfu‘ (elevated) manner: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever humbles himself for my sake in this way,” (then the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] gestured towards the ground with his palm), “I will raise him up in this way,” (and the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] gestured towards the sky with the inner part of his palm).
