Hadith 1007
حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ أَبُو نُوحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : "أَيُّمَا وَالٍ وَلِيَ شَيْئًا مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، فَلَمْ يَنْصَحْ لَهُمْ ، وَلَمْ يَجْهَدْ لَهُمْ لِنُصْحِهِ وَجَهْدِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ كَبَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي النَّارِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ ، إِلا السَّرِيُّ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَبُو نُوحٍ
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever is appointed over any affair of the Muslims, if he does not strive for their well-being in the same way as he strives for his own well-being and effort, then Allah Almighty will throw him face down into Hell on the Day of Resurrection."
