Hadith 1003
حَدَّثَنَا حُسْنُونُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ النَّاسَ كَإِبِلٍ مِائَةٍ لا تَجِدُ فِيهَا رَاحِلَةً ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لا نَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَلْفٍ مِثْلَهُ إِلا الرَّجُلَ الْمُؤْمِنَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، إِلا أُسَامَةُ . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، وَلا يُرْوَى آخِرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ، قَوْلُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا نَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَلْفٍ مِثْلَهُ إِلا الرَّجُلَ الْمُؤْمِنَ " . إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The example of people is like that of camels; out of a hundred, you will hardly find one fit for riding." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We consider only a believing man to be better among a thousand like this."
