Hadith 1000
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَامِدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْبَلْخِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "لَوْ أَنَّ لابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَيْنِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَتَمَنَّى إِلَيْهِمَا الثَّالِثَ ، وَلا يَمْلأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلا التُّرَابُ ، وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، إِلا سُفْيَانُ ، وَلا عَنْهُ إِلا حَامِدٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If the son of Adam had two valleys full of wealth, he would still wish for a third valley. Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.”
