Hadith 993
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوَارِبِيُّ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " الرَّجُلُ يَكُونُ حَامِيَةَ الْقَوْمِ ، وَيَدْفَعُ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، أَيَكُونُ نَصِيبُهُ مثل نَصِيبِ غَيْرِهِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ ابْنَ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ ، وَهَلْ تُرْزَقُونَ ، وَتُنْصَرُونَ إِلا بِضُعَفَائِكُمْ ؟ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، إِلا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُعَلَّى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ
Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! A man supports his people and defends his companions, will he also receive a share like the others?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O son of Umm Sa’d! May your mother lose you, you are provided for and helped because of your weak ones.”
