Hadith 968
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ الرَّقِّيُّ ، بِالرَّقَّةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْكَلْبِيُّ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ النَّصِيبِيُّ ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ صُهَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ حُبَابٌ ، مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " إِنَّا إِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِكِ أَخَذْنَا فِي أَحَادِيثِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، فَقَالَ : إِذَا جَلَسْتُمْ تِلْكَ الْمَجَالِسَ الَّتِي تَخَافُونَ فِيهَا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكِمْ فَقُولُوا عِنْدَ مَقَامِكُمْ : سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ، نَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ ، نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ ، وَيُكَفَّرُ عَنْكُمْ مَا أَصَبْتُمْ فِيهَا "، لا يُرْوَى عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ
Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) says: O Messenger of Allah! When we leave your presence, we begin to talk about matters of ignorance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you sit in such gatherings from which you fear for your souls, then at the time of leaving, recite this supplication: «سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ نَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» By this, your sins that you have committed will be forgiven."
