Hadith 913
حَدَّثَتْنَا عَبْدَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَتْ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُصْعَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رِبْعِيٍّ ، " أَنَّهُ حَرَسَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ بَدْرٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ كَمَا حَفِظَ نَبِيَّكَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ "
Sayyiduna Harith bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: He stood guard for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the night of Badr, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made supplication: “O Allah! Protect Abu Qatadah just as You protected Your Prophet on this night.”
