Hadith 880
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Khalid! Do not cause any harm to a person from among the people of Badr, for even if you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, you would not reach their deeds." So Sayyiduna Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! They speak ill of me and I respond to them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not harm Khalid, for he is one of the swords of Allah which Allah has unleashed upon the disbelievers."
