Hadith 877
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْمُسْتَمْلِي الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّمْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ غُصْنٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَهْلَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلا لَيَرَاهُمْ مَنْ هُمْ أَسْفَلُ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ الْكَوْكَبَ الدُّرِّيَّ فِي أُفُقِ السَّمَاءِ ، وَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ لَمِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعَمَا "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ سُمَيْعٍ ، إِلا ابْنُ غُصْنٍ ، وَلا عَنْهُ إِلا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those of lower ranks will look at those of higher ranks just as you look at a shining star, and Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) are among them, and they are very excellent."
