Hadith 867
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ الطَّيِّبِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "إِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمُ الثَّقَلَيْنِ مَا إِنْ تَمَسَّكْتُمْ بِهِ لَنْ تَضِلُّوا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَعِتْرَتِي ، وَإِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَفْتَرِقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، إِلا يُونُسُ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am leaving among you two things; if you hold fast to them, you will never go astray. One is the Book of Allah and the other is my family, and these two will never be separated until they come to me at the Pond."
