Description of good deeds benefiting on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 820
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ شَيْخِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ الأَسَدِيُّ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ صُقَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَكُونُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصَّلاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَالْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ وَالْجِهَادِ حَتَّى ذَكَرَ سِهَامَ الْخَيْرِ ، وَمَا يُجْزَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلا بِقَدْرِ عَقْلِهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، إِلا ابْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ صُقَيْرٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man is among those who perform prayer, give zakat, perform Hajj and Umrah, and strive in jihad." When he (peace be upon him) mentioned all parts of goodness, he said: "These things will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection only according to his intellect."
