Description of the men and women of Paradise
Hadith 806
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ الْوَشَّاءُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارِ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، عَنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "أَلا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِرِجَالِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ؟ ، قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : النَّبِيُّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالصِّدِّيقُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالشَّهِيدُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالْمَوْلُودُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالرَّجُلُ يَزُورُ أَخَاهُ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمِصْرِ لا يَزُورُهُ إِلا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ : أَلا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِنِسَائِكُمْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ ، قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُلُّ وَلُودٌ وَدُودٌ ، إِذَا غَضِبَتْ أَوْ أُسِيءَ إِلَيْهَا أَوْ غَضِبَ ، أَيْ زَوْجُهَا ، قَالَتْ : هَذِهِ يَدِي فِي يَدِكَ لا أَكْتَحِلُ بِغُمْضٍ حَتَّى تَرْضَى "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الزَّاهِدِ ، إِلا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ بَكَّارٍ ، وَهُوَ مِمَّنْ يُكْنَى أَبَا حَازِمٍ ، مِمَّنْ رَوَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَبُو حَازِمٍ هَذَا ، وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ التَّمَّارُ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ الأَشْجَعِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ يَرْوِي عَنْهُ مَنْصُورٌ ، وَالأَعْمَشُ يُسَمَّى مَيْسَرَةَ ، وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ فِي اسْمِهِ ، وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ ، الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، اسْمُهُ نَبْتَلُ ، وَهُوَ كُوفِيُّ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about a person of Paradise?" We said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A prophet will be in Paradise, and a siddiq (truthful one), a martyr, a child, and the person who meets his brother solely for the sake of Allah’s pleasure—all these are people of Paradise." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about the women of Paradise?" The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The woman who bears children, is loving, and when she is angry, or is mistreated, or her husband is displeased with her, she says: 'Here is my hand in your hand; I will not sleep until you are pleased with me.'"
