Hadith 754
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَلَبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ رَبِّهِ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ الْمُؤَدِّبُ الْحَلَبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْمَكِّيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي : أَلا إِنِّي جَعَلْتُ نَسَبًا ، وَجَعَلْتُمْ نَسَبًا ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَكْرَمَكُمْ أَتْقَاكُمْ فَأَبَيْتُمْ إِلا أَنْ تَقُولُوا : فُلانُ بْنُ فُلانٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ فُلانِ بْنِ فُلانٍ ، فَأَنَا الْيَوْمَ أَرْفَعُ نَسَبِي ، وَأَضَعُ نَسَبَكُمْ أَيْنَ الْمُتَّقُونَ "، لا يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ صَالِحٌ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, by Allah's command, a caller will announce: I established lineage and you also established lineage, so I made the most pious among you the most honorable, but you refused except to say: So-and-so son of so-and-so is better than so-and-so son of so-and-so. So today I will elevate My lineage and lower your lineage. Where are the pious people?"
