Explanation of some advices of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
Hadith 723
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي غَسَّانَ الْفَرَائِضِيُّ أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "مَنْ أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ نِعْمَةً فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنَ الْحَمْدِ لِلَّهِ ، وَمَنْ كَثُرَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ فَلْيَسْتَغْفِرِ اللَّهَ ، وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ رِزْقُهُ فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنْ قَوْلِ : لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللَّهِ ، وَمَنْ نزل مَعَ قَوْمٍ فَلا يَصُومَنَّ إِلا بِإِذْنِهِمْ ، وَمَنْ دَخَلَ دَارَ قَوْمٍ فَلْيَجْلِسْ حَيْثُ أَمَرُوهُ ، فَإِنَّ الْقَوْمَ أَعْلَمُ بِعَوْرَةِ دَارِهِمْ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، إِلا يُونُسُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever Allah clothes with the garment of a blessing, let him say «الحمد للہ» abundantly; and whoever’s sins become many, let him seek forgiveness from Allah; and whoever’s provision becomes constrained, let him recite «لا حول ولا قوة إلا باللہ» abundantly; and whoever stays as a guest with a people, let him not fast without their permission; and whoever enters someone’s house, let him sit where they seat him, for the people know best about the privacy of their own house.”
