Hadith 722
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الدِّرْهَمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ الطَّائِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، "أَنَّ رَجُلا لَعَنَ الرِّيحَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لا تَلْعَنْهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا مَأْمُورَةٌ ، وَإِنَّ مَنْ لَعَنَ شَيْئًا لَيْسَ لَهُ بِأَهْلٍ رَجَعَتِ اللَّعْنَةُ إِلَيْهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، إِلا أَبَانُ ، وَلا عَنْ أَبَانَ ، إِلا بِشْرٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports: A man cursed the wind in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not curse it, for it is under the command of Allah, and whoever curses something that does not deserve to be cursed, the curse returns upon the one who uttered it."
