Hadith 714
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ لَيَكْذِبُ الْكَذِبَةَ ، فَيَتَبَاعَدُ مِنْهُ الْمَلَكُ مَسِيرَةَ مِيلٍ مِنْ نَتْنِ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، إِلا ابْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ هَارُونَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man tells a lie, the angel moves a mile away from him because of the bad smell that emanates from him."
