Hadith 689
حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ أَبُو الْفَوَارِسِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، بِمِصْرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْجَزَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّمَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ ، وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ ، فَالأَمِيرُ رَاعٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ ، وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ زَوْجَتِهِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُهُ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ رَاعِيَةٌ لِحَقِّ زَوْجِهَا وَمَسْئُولَةٌ عَنْ بَيْتِهَا وَوَلَدِهَا ، وَالْمَمْلُوكُ رَاعٍ عَلَى مَوْلاهُ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ مَالِهِ ، فَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ ، فَأَعِدُّوا لِلْمَسَائِلِ جَوَابًا ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا جَوَابُهَا ؟ ، قَالَ : أَعْمَالُ الْبِرِّ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِهَذَا التَّمَامِ ، إِلا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، وَلا عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، إِلا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, reports that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be questioned about his flock. A man is a shepherd over the people of his house, and he will be questioned about his wife and servant. A woman is a shepherd over her husband's house, and she will be questioned about the house and the children. And a servant is a shepherd over his master's wealth, and he will be questioned about his master's wealth. So each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be questioned about his flock. Therefore, prepare answers for the questions." The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What can the answers be?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The answer is righteous deeds."
