Hadith 678
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُنَيْدِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "قَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ : يَا سُلَيْمَانُ لا تُكْثِرِ النَّوْمَ بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَإِنَّ كَثْرَةَ النَّوْمِ بِاللَّيْلِ تَتْرُكُ الْعَبْدَ فَقِيرًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، إِلا ابْنُهُ يُوسُفُ . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ سُنَيْدٌ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The mother of Sulayman bin Dawud (peace be upon them) said to Sulayman (peace be upon him): Sulayman! Do not sleep too much at night, for excessive sleep at night will leave a person poor on the Day of Resurrection."
