Hadith 647
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُوحٍ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالا : " بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ ، فَقَالَ : اذْهَبَا فَتَطَاوَعَا وَلا تَعَاصَيَا ، وَبَشِّرَا وَلا تُنَفِّرَا ، وَيَسِّرَا وَلا تُعَسِّرَا ، فَرَجَعَ أَبُو مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ بِهَا شَرَابَيْنِ يُقَالُ لأَحَدِهِمَا : الْمِزْرُ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ ، وَيُقَالُ لِلآخَرِ : الْبِتْعُ وَهُوَ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ ، فَقَالَ : حَرَامٌ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ يَصُدُّ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَالصَّلاةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، إِلا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ
Sayyiduna Abu Musa and Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with them) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us towards Yemen and said: "Go! Obey one another and do not disobey, give glad tidings and do not make people averse, make things easy and do not make them difficult." Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) returned and said: There are two types of wine there, one is called 'Mizr' and it is made from wheat and barley, and the other is called 'Bita'' and it is made from honey. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is forbidden, and every intoxicant is forbidden, that which prevents from the remembrance of Allah and prayer."
