Hadith 630
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الصَّابُونِي الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ رِئَابٍ الأُسَيِّدِيُّ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "تَرَاحُ رِيحُ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ ، وَلا يَجِدُ رِيحَهَا مَنَّانٌ بِعَمَلِهِ ، وَلا مُدْمِنُ خَمْرٍ ، وَلا عَاقٌّ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ ، إِلا الرَّبِيعُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fragrance of Paradise can be sensed from a distance of five hundred years. But the one who reminds others of his favors, the one who habitually drinks alcohol, and the one who is disobedient to his parents will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."
