Hadith 619
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ السِّيرَافِيُّ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَشْعَثِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَصْرَمُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، حَدِّثْنَا شَيْئًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : "مَا بَيْنَ السُّرَّةِ وَالرُّكْبَةِ عَوْرَةٌ "
Muhammad bin Ali bin Al-Husayn said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far, may Allah be pleased with him: Tell us a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was saying: "Between the navel and the knees is a place of covering."
