Hadith 597
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ الدِّيبَاجِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ التَّمَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ يَقُولُ : سَتَخْرُجُ أَقْوَامٌ آخِرَ الزَّمَنِ أَحْدَاثُ الأَسْنَانِ ، سُفَهَاءُ الأَحْلامِ يَقُولُونَ مِنْ خَيْرِ قَوْلِ الْبَرِيَّةِ لا يُجَاوِزُ إِيمَانُهُمْ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ ، فَأَيْنَمَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ ، فَإِنَّ فِي قَتْلِهِمْ أَجْرًا لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، إِلا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: If I narrate to you any hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then for me, falling from the sky to the earth is more beloved than attributing a lie to him (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "In the last times, there will appear people who will be young in age and foolish in mind. They will speak words that are the best among all creation. Their faith will not go below their throats. They will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey. So wherever you find them, kill them, for the one who kills them will have a reward."
