Hadith 573
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعَطَّارُ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابٌ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، صَاحِبُ الْمَغَازِي ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي بَقِيَّةُ نَبِيهُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَيْرِ ابْنِ أَخِي مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، وقَالَ : " كُنْتُ فِي الأُسَارَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اسْتَوْصُوا بِالأُسَارَى خَيْرًا ، وَكُنْتُ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ ، فَكَانُوا إِذَا قَدِمُوا غَدَاءَهُمْ أَوْ عَشَاءَهُمْ أَكَلُوا التَّمْرَ وَأَطْعَمُونِي الْخُبْزَ بِوَصِيَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاهُمْ "، لا يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي عَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ
Sayyiduna Abi Aziz bin Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) (who was the nephew of Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umair, may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was among the prisoners of war on the day of Badr, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed the people to treat the prisoners of war well. I was with a group of the Ansar, so when they would present their morning or evening meal, they would eat dates themselves and give me bread to eat, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had commanded them to treat us well.
