Hadith 535
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا سَمْحًا قَاضِيًا ، وَسَمْحًا مُقْتَضِيًا "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، إِلا أَبُو غَسَّانَ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on the generous and gentle judge, and also on the one who demands repayment of a loan or similar matters with gentleness."
