Hadith 493
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ جُمْهُورِ التِّنِّيسِيُّ ، بِمَدِينَةِ تِنِّيسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الأَزْرَقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْقَسْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَطِيَّةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "لِلْمَرْأَةِ سِتْرَانِ ، قِيلَ : وَمَا هُمَا ؟ ، قَالَ : الزَّوْجُ وَالْقَبْرُ ، قِيلَ : فَأَيُّهُمَا أَسْتَرُ ؟ ، قَالَ : الْقَبْرُ "، لا يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman has two veils." Someone asked: Which ones? He (peace be upon him) said: "One is the grave and the other is the husband." Someone asked: Which of these is the better veil? He (peace be upon him) replied: "The grave."
