Description of Raml (brisk walking) during Tawaf
Hadith 462
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ الْقَزَّازُ الْكُوفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ "رَمَلَ فِي حِجَّتِهِ مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، إِلا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ramal from the Hajar to the Hajar during his Hajj. In Jabir's narration, ramal is mentioned three times and walking four times.
