Description of a pilgrim who dies in the state of Ihram
Hadith 434
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ الأَفْطَسِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ مُحْرِمًا وَقَصَتْهُ رَاحِلَتُهُ ، نَاقَتُهُ ، فَمَاتَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ ، وَلا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ ، وَلا تُقَرِّبُوهُ طِيبًا ، فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سَالِمٍ الأَفْطَسِ ، إِلا قَيْسٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports: A Muhrim was thrown down by his mount and died, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Bathe him with water and lote tree leaves, then shroud him in his two garments, and do not cover his head, and do not bring perfume near him, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.”
