Hadith 405
حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَبُو عَدِيٍّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْيَرْبُوعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُعَيْرُ بْنُ الْخِمْسِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقِطْعَةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ كَانَتْ أَوَّلَ صَدَقَةٍ جَاءَتْهُ مِنْ مَعْدَنٍ ، فَقَالَ : "مَا هَذِهِ ؟ ، قَالُوا : صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَعْدَنٍ لَنَا ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ مَعَادِنَ ، وَسَيَكُونُ فِيهَا شَرُّ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، إِلا عَاصِمٌ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A piece of gold was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and this was the first charity of metal that came to him. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is this?" The people said: "This is charity from our metal." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will be metals, and there will be people there who are the worst of Allah the Exalted's creation."
