Description of nightly emancipation from Hell in Ramadan
Hadith 379
حَدَّثَنَا حَمْدَانُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ السَّلِيمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ وَاسِطِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى عُتَقَاءَ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ إِلا رَجُلا أَفْطَرَ عَلَى خَمْرٍ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، إِلا وَاسِطٌ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On every night of Ramadan, some people are freed from Hell, except for the person who breaks his fast with alcohol."
