Sayyiduna Amr bin Shu’aib narrates from his father, from his grandfather: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and from making nabidh in pitchers, and from visiting graves. Then after that, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I had forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, now eat it as many days as you wish. And I had forbidden you from making nabidh in pitchers, now you may drink from them, but every intoxicating thing is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting graves, but now you may visit them, but do not say anything that would anger Allah, the Exalted.”

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Visit the graves, but do not speak idle or indecent words."
