The chapter on avoiding a wicked person
Hadith 260
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ الْعَسْقَلانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ ، أَخُو عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : حَتَّى مَتَى تَزَعُونَ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الْفَاجِرِ ، اهْتِكُوهُ حَتَّى يَحْذَرَهُ النَّاسُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، إِلا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ
Sayyiduna Bahz bin Hakim narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon and said: "When will you stop mentioning the sinful man? Expose and disgrace him so that people may beware of him."
