The chapter on recitation in Maghrib prayer
Hadith 192
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْجَوْهَرِيُّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "قَرَأَ بِهِمْ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِ : الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، إِلا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited these verses in Maghrib: "Those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, He will render their deeds vain." (Surah Muhammad).
