Hadith 55
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Once, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was scratching the ground with a stick, then he raised his head and said: "The place of every living being, whether in Paradise or Hell, has been written, as well as whether he will be fortunate or unfortunate." So a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Then should we stop doing deeds? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No! Rather, you should act, for every person is facilitated towards that for which he was created. The fortunate are made easy towards the path of fortune, and the unfortunate are made easy towards the path of misfortune." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "As for him who gives (in the way of Allah) and fears (his Lord), and affirms the best (word)."
