On the Day of Judgment, whom will Allah not speak to?
Hadith 50
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَشْعَثِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "ثَلاثَةٌ لا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَلا يُزَكِّيهِمْ ، وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ : أُشَيْمِطٌ زَانٍ ، وَعَائِلٌ مُسْتَكْبِرٌ ، وَرَجُلٌ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِضَاعَةً فَلا يَبِيعُ إِلا بِيَمِينِهِ وَلا يَشْتَرِي إِلا بِيَمِينِهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، إِلا حَفْصٌ
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty will not speak to three persons on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and for them will be a painful punishment: an old man who commits adultery with white and black hair, a proud poor person, and one whom Allah has given wealth but he buys and sells only by taking oaths."
