Statement about the morals of faith
Hadith 15
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الأَنْصَارِيُّ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "ثَلاثٌ مِنْ أَخْلاقِ الإِيمَانِ : مَنْ إِذَا غَضِبَ لَمْ يُدْخِلْهُ غَضَبُهُ فِي بَاطِلٍ ، وَمَنْ إِذَا رَضِيَ لَمْ يُخْرِجْهُ رِضَاهُ مِنْ حَقٍّ ، وَمَنْ إِذَا قَدَرَ لَمْ يَتَعَاطَ مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ ، إِلا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things are from the morals of faith: When a person is angry, his anger should not lead him to falsehood; and when a person is happy, his happiness should not take him out of the truth; and when a person has power, he should not take that which does not belong to him."
