Which actions of the Ummah the Prophet (peace be upon him) feared
Hadith 9
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْمُعَدِّلُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الأَسَدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْوَالِبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : "أَخْوَفُ مَا أَخَافَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي : الاسْتِسْقَاءُ بِالأَنْوَاءِ ، وَحَيْفُ السُّلْطَانِ ، وَتَكْذِيبٌ بِالْقَدَرِ "، لا يُرْوَى عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الأَسَدِيُّ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The greatest thing concerning which I fear for my Ummah is seeking water by the positions of the heavenly stars, and I fear the oppression of the ruler and the denial of destiny."
