Statement about the most honorable deeds
Hadith 1
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْقَاهِرِ بْنِ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ اللَّخْمِيُّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، نَزِيلُ دِمَشْقَ سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُنَبِّهُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَضِينُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ مَحْفُوظِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ الأَزْدِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "أَشْرَفُ الإِيمَانِ أَنْ يَأْمَنَكَ النَّاسُ ، وَأَشْرَفُ الإِسْلامِ أَنْ يَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ مِنْ لِسَانِكَ وَيَدِكَ ، وَأَشْرَفُ الْهِجْرَةِ أَنْ تَهْجُرَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ، وَأَشْرَفُ الْجِهَادِ أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَتَعْقِرَ فَرَسَكَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الْوَضِينِ ، إِلا صَدَقَةُ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُنَبِّهُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most honorable faith is that people consider you trustworthy, and the most honorable Islam is that people remain safe from your tongue and hand, and the most honorable migration is that you abandon sins, and the most honorable jihad is that you give your life in His path and your horse is also slaughtered."
